The shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus "Bajirao Mastani" is going on in full swing. But things went wrong, when actor Aditya Pancholi, who plays the bad guy in the film, created a major scene on the sets.
Pancholi, who had an early morning shoot a few days back, reportedly came on the sets with a bad mood and started misbehaving with some of the crew members.
"We had a morning shift and were shooting some important scenes which required Pancholi to be present on the sets. However, he not only turned up late but also seemed to be in a really bad mood. After walking in, he started interacting with some crew members. Suddenly, he started misbehaving with them. The situation was about to go out of control but other unit members rushed to the scene and stopped him," a source told Mid-Day.
Pancholi was then asked to take a day's leave and the next day when he returned on the sets, he seemed to look fine and even apologised for the misconduct.
"We did not want to halt the shoot or take action against him and make things worse. He was asked to take a day off and the next day, he arrived on the sets looking alright. He also apologised to the unit hands for his behaviour," another source told the daily.
This is not the first time the actor has lost his cool. Earlier, Pancholi had apparently messed with a junior artist on the same sets as well.
"Bajirao Mastani" has Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone playing the lead roles while Priyanka Chopra will be seen in a supporting yet important role.
The period-drama is based on the love story of warrior Peshwar Baji Rao and his second wife, Mastani. The movie will reportedly have Singh play the role of Maratha general Baji Rao, Padukone as Baji Rao's second wife, Mastani and Chopra playing his first wife, Kashibai.
"Bajirao Mastani" is scheduled to hit theatres on 25 December 2015.
