The makers of "Action Jackson" have unveiled the film's first song "Keeda", featuring lead pair Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha.
The track was composed by Himmesh Reshammiya and sung by him and Neeti Mohan.
The lyrics are unusual and both Devgn and Sinha are seen grooving to the dance number. There were reports that through this peppy number, director Prabhu Deva has paid tribute to the King of Rock & Roll Elvis Presley as the background dancers groove to the trademark styles of the American icon and even dress like the singer-actor.
"Elvis Presley is an icon. Prabhu sir and Ajay Sir are huge fans of Elvis Presley. Hence, they took inspiration from him for the costumes of the background dancers. They have been dressed just like Elvis Presley and will be seen doing some signature moves of the legend", a source close to the production team told Bollywood Hungama.
In the song, Devgn is seen pulling off some amazing moves in Prabhu Deva style, while wooing his ladylove Sinha, who looks her usual self. This is the first time Devgn has teamed up with actor-choreographer-director Prabhu Deva.
The plot of the song has a retro look to it, thus making it a unique song-cum-dance number.
"Action Jackson", slated to hit the theatres on 5 December, also has Yami Gautam and Femina Miss India 2010 Manasvi Mamgai, who will be making her acting debut. The film also features Sonu Sood and Kunaal Roy Kapur in pivotal roles
The trailer of the film, which was released recently, looks promising and is a complete masala entertainer with high dose of actions and dialogues.
Produced by Gordhan P Tanwani and Sunil Lulla under the banner of Baba Films and Eros International, "Action Jackson" is the remake of Mahesh Babu's Telugu blockbuster "Dookudu" (2011).
