Acer has unveiled Acer One, a hybrid device that essentially combines notebook experience on a Tablet device, in India.
Featuring a magnetic detachable Acer Snap Hinge, the Acer One makes it easy for users to transition between modes, and comes with latch free keyboard docking with additional storage capability.
Targeted at young consumers of the country, who prefer to spend most of them time online, the Acer One is said to provide decent browsing experience with a subtle blend of multimedia and gaming capability.
Powered by an Intel Atom Quad-Core processor, the Acer One will be available in two RAM variants of 1GB and 2GB. The Acer One features Windows 8.1 operating system and 32GB of in-built storage on the display. The hybrid device includes several intuitive features including InstantGo that keeps data and apps up-to-date even when the screen is off by maintaining an Internet connection along with an efficient power-saving feature so it's ready to go at any moment.
The Precision Touchpad enhances sensitivity and accuracy for the same visual experience as using a touch screen and supports six core Windows 8.1 Touchpad gestures for improved navigation and smooth gestures. The spacious keyboard ensures comfortable and productive typing, while an optional keyboard dock with integrated hard-disk offers additional storage of up to 500GB. Also included is 1TB of storage with a free one-year subscription to OneDrive, Microsoft's cloud storage platform.
The Acer One further features a micro SD card slot for expanding storage up to 32GB, Micro HDMI support, front and rear cameras for web conferencing and clicking snaps on the go.
