Abhishek Bachchan and his sister Shweta Bachchan Nanda got trolled by netizens for being spotted laughing and apparently being in a joyful mood at industrialist Rajan Nanda's prayer meet.
Rajan, who is Shweta's father-in-law, passed away on Sunday, Aug 5, at a hospital in Gurugram. The prayer meet was organised at Delhi on Tuesday, Aug 7, which was attended by the entire Bachchan family.
A video has come up on social media that shows Abhishek entering the venue with a broad smile on his face. He is then seen cheerfully talking to his sister, who also appears to be smiling and laughing in the video.
Amitabh Bachchan too is visible in the video, but he is not seen laughing or smiling. As soon as the video appeared on social media, people started ridiculing the Bachchan siblings for being so "happy" at a prayer meet.
Series of comments started pouring in, saying that it appears more like a party or get together than a prayer meet. Many opined that everything in Bollywood is fake, and the celebrities do not have genuine attachment to anyone.
Check the video and some of the comments that came in targeting Abhishek and Shweta.
Abhishek is often subjected to trolling on social media, but the actor always won hearts by replying to them with calm and class. However, this time the junior Bachchan might find it difficult to defend himself.
Earlier, Jacqueline Fernandez had found herself in a similar situation when she was spotted having a big smile on her face at the funeral of Sridevi. She was vehemently crtiticised by people on Twitter for allegedly being insensitive to the situation.
