Rumours have been rife about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan making her comeback with "Happy Anniversary" but hubby Abhishek Bachchan has dismissed such speculations.
As per recent reports, Aishwarya had consented to star in Prahlad Kakkar's "Happy Anniversary," in which she will be casted opposite hubby Abhishek. But the actor revealed at a recent event in Kolkata that the reported film is still under consideration and no final decision has been taken yet.
"We have not read the script ... nothing has been finalised," the 37-year-old actor told IANS.
Earlier "Happy Anniversary" producer Gaurang Doshi had remarked that the film was to be a comeback project for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan after giving birth to daughter Aradhya.
"I share a good relationship with Mr. Bachchan but it was the script that convinced Aishwarya and Abhishek. I think Abhi and Ash are the ideal couple and they both look good together. The film will be widely shot in South Africa," said Doshi.
"Aishwarya is working hard for the film. She is working hard to lose weight. I can say she will be seen as 'Dhoom Girl' in the film," he added.
However, Aishwarya's spokesperson explained that the decision hasn't been made yet. "Prahlad's script is among the many scripts she has given her nod to. But it is very preliminary for the producer to jump the gun and announce it as her comeback film," the spokesperson told Mid-Day.
Last heard, "Chittagong" director Bedabrata Pain has also approached the power couple Abhishek and Aishwarya for a remake of classic film "Masoom" (1983). There have been no reports whether the couple has signed the project.
