The Miss World Organisation felicitated Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for her charity work "Beauty With a Purpose" at the 64th edition of the international beauty pageant held in London on 14 December.
The former Miss World, who won the crown two decades ago, looked gorgeous in a silver Roberto Cavalli gown as she walked the stage to receive the award. Accompanying her, were her husband and actor Abhishek Bachchan, daughter Aaradhya and mother Vrinda Rai.
Abhishek, who was holding Aaradhya, was filled with honour when his wife was felicitated for her humanitarian work "Beauty With a Purpose" and being the most successful and impactful Miss World till date.
The "Happy New Year" actor posted a picture from the event in his Instagram page along with a caption.
"The Mrs. Get awarded by Miss World as their most successful and impactful Miss World. Honoured. She got the award, I got to hold Little A. I got the better deal." said Abhishek.
This year, contestants from 121 countries competed to win the prestigious title. The Miss World 2014 crown went to 22-year-old Miss South Africa, Rolene Strauss while India's Koyal Rana managed to make it to the top 10 list.
