Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor starrer "ABCD 2" (Any Body Can Dance 2) is on a record breaking spree. The film started its box office run by breaking Akshay Kumar's movie record and now it's all set to beat another movie's record starring the Khiladi of Bollywood.
After shattering the opening day and opening weekend record of "Gabbar Is Back", "ABCD 2" is all set to beat the first week box office collection of Akshay starrer "Baby".
"ABCD 2" will break "Baby" first week record with its six day total. "Baby" first week total stands at 63.82 crore, while "ABCD 2" five day box office collection is 61.17 crore.
"#ABCD2 is aiming to cross ₹ 100 cr in Week 2. Fri 14.30 cr, Sat 14.54 cr, Sun 17.51 cr, Mon 8.05 cr, Tue 6.77 cr. Total: ₹ 61.17 cr. FAB!" trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
Varun, who plays the male lead role, took to twitter to thank everyone who watched the film. He also revealed the reason why he did "ABCD 2".
"Yaar thank you so much.you guys have given me and my team soo much love and respect. I can't believe #abcd2 is over," he tweeted adding, "Hopefully all of you and your families enjoyed the film.i specially hope all the baachas did because I did this film for the kids."
Directed by Remo D'Souza, the dance film features Prabhu Deva, Dharmesh Yelande, Lauren Gottlieb, Raghav Juyal, Tisca Chopra and Punit Pathak among others in pivotal roles.
