Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan along with his wife Jaya, son Abhishek, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai and granddaughter Aaradhya arrived in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, for the shooting of his latest film.
The 70-year-old actor and his family arrived at Raja Bhoj Airport, located in Bairagarh suburban area in Bhopal, on Thursday for the shooting of Prakash Jha's upcoming movie "Satyagraha".
Hundreds of fans gathered outside the airport to catch a glimpse of the Bachchans. Amitabh signed autographs for his fans and also allowed them to take pictures with him at the airport, according to PTI.
Aishwarya, looking beautiful in a pink ethnic wear, was spotted holding baby Aaradhya, who was fast asleep. Abhishek, meanwhile, was trying to shield his wife and daughter from the shutterbugs. [Check the pictures here]
"The 'jamai' has traditionally enjoyed respect and care and welcome from the city of the wife, and I have no idea why it does so, but thank the Lord that they do ... its a wonderful feeling to get the kind of welcome each time I visit Bhopal and Kolkata !" Amitabh wrote on his official blog.
"I brought along Abhishek and Aishwarya and little Aaradhya too with me in the plane, so they could meet their Nani, Jaya's Mother, who lives here, as also Jaya's youngest sister and her family," he added.
The Bachchan family first visited Jaya's mother Indira Bhaduri's place so that one-year-old Aaradhya could meet Jaya's mother, younger sister and the rest of the family.
Bachchan's will stay in "Noor-us-Sabah" hotel in Bhopal with other cast members including Kareena Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Manoj Bajpayee and Arjun Rampal, PTI reported quoting a source.
