The Aam Aadmi Party is no stranger to controversies. However, despite various accusations against the party's leaders, the recent sex tape scandal involving Sandeep Kumar has hit the party hard and there seems to be no recovering from its publicly tarnished image.
The AAP, when it came to power, had promised transparency and clean politics, but its tenure has been anything but that. Various top leaders of the party have had a brush with the law because of their involvement in illicit relations or violence against women.
Here's a list of who were hit by scandal:
1. Somnath Bharti - A lawyer by profession and a top AAP leader, who was in-charge of election campaign in the south, has been accused of domestic violence and murder attempt by his wife in 2015. In July 2016, he faced an FIR for instigating men to misbehave with a woman. The men were also booked.
2. Kumar Vishwas - He was allegedly in an illicit relationship with a female AAP member, with whom he visited Amethi in 2014 for election campaigning. Vishwas was summoned by the Delhi Commission of Women for the issue. However, the woman had said that she is not linked to him at all.
3. Amanatullah Khan - The AAP MLA in July 2016 faced a day's worth of jail time after a woman who lived in his area registered an FIR against him for threatening rape and murder.

4. Dharmendra Koli - AAP MLA from from Seemapuri, Dharmendra Singh Koli, in July 2013 was charged with molestation and rioting. Congress leader Veer Singh Dhinghan, who had lost to him in the assembly election, had filed the complaint against Koli.
5. Raman Swami - AAP member Swami was booked on rape charges in 2014. The victim, a married woman, had alleged that she had befriended Swami and had asked him to help her with employment. However, he allegedly took the woman to a house, on pretext of helping her, and raped her there.
