While there is still much being said about the government formation by newbie Aam Aadmi party, a news report has revealed that AAP is not just planning on government formation, but has also decided that instead of taking oath at Raj Bhavan, AAP ministers will do that at Jantar Mantor or Ramlila Maidan.
The report that was published in local Indian daily, Deccan Chronicle, quoted information from its source who has revealed that Arvind Kejriwal will take his oath of office as Chief Minister on Wednesday and intends to adopt "a radical way of holding the ceremony".
In a meeting held on Sunday, the AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal stated that the final decision to form a government in Delhi will be made on Monday. AAP has decided to take an opinion poll from the people of Delhi asking them for their opinion on whether AAP should form a government or not.
"Over 5 Lakh responses have been received till now. This is the first time, a political party is making people part of the decision making process, outside of an election. And people are responding to it with great enthusiasm. We will make the declaration on Monday morning, after we get the opinion of the people," said AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal.
The Assembly seat of Delhi entered into a deadlock following the elections, as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the single largest party that won the elections with 31 seats declined to form a government stating that it didn't have enough number of seats. In the 70-member house, the AAP party bagged 28 seats and was then invited by the Delhi's Lieutenant Governor to form the ministry.
