Aamir Khan's Thugs Of Hindostan (Thugs Of Hindustan), which was released in China on December 28, has failed to attract the audience in theatres. While the critics have already written off the movie calling it the 'worst movie of 2018', Chinese social media was recently flooded with negative reviews for Aamir Khan's movie.

According to Global Times tweet, a Douban user, who gave 1 star to Aamir Khan's movie out of 5, said, "Please never introduce such a bad movie to China again. Otherwise, the reputation of #Bollywood will be ruined in the Chinese market."

People in India found the said comment about Aamir's film very rude and insulting. Aamir Khan's earlier films like Dangal and Secret Superstar were massive hits in the Chinese market but this time around Bollywood's Mr Perfectionist failed to struck the chord with the Chinese audience.

The movie has received the lowest ratings on Chinese movie sites like Douban and Mtime and even had a poor opening at the China box office. It has managed to earn $ 4.71 mn [Rs 32.93 crore] in its opening weekend.

Thugs of Hindostan had a disappointing run at the Indian box office as well with its lifetime net domestic collection ending at Rs 151 crore. The movie is one of the most expensive Bollywood movies. With a huge star cast involving Aamir, Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh, the movie was one of the most anticipated ones of 2018.
