Aamir has a huge fan following in the neighbouring country and thanks to that the tickets of the special screening sold out within minutes. In fact, Aamir was not able to get tickets for his guests for the special screening.
The response from the special screening clearly hints that the film is set to take the Chinese box office by storm. Dangal will release in China on May 6 and it is expected to open with a shattering response.
Aamir's previous film PK (Peekay) created history by becoming the first Indian film to cross Rs 100 crore mark at the Chinese box office. The film took only 16 days to create the record and is not the highest grossing Indian film in China. With Dangal's release in China, expectations are high that this Aamir-starrer will smash the previous record and create a new one.
The biographical drama, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, features Aamir as wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, Sakshi Tanwar as Aamir's wife, Fatima Sana Shaikh as his daughter Geeta Phogat and Sanya Malhotra as Babita Phogat.
