Aamir Khan's multi-starrer "3 Idiots" will soon have a sequel. After director Rajkumar Hirani said he has an idea for a sequel to "3 Idiots," Sharman Joshi has now confirmed that the team will soon start working on the movie.
"Yes, Rajkumar Hirani has told me that he has an idea that he is working on for the sequel of '3 Idiots.' I am just waiting for all the things to fall into place so we can start working on it soon," Bollywoodlife quoted Sharman as saying during a promotional event for his upcoming movie "1920 London."
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani and starring Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, R Madhavan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Boman Irani, "3 Idiots" is one of the biggest blockbusters of all time.
Earlier, Rajkumar had said he has plans to make a sequel to both "3 Idiots" as well as "PK." "Initially, I had plans to make 'PK 2', but we don't have any subject for the film. As far as a '3 Idiots' sequel is concerned, Abhijat (Joshi) and I have an idea, but we are yet o develop it. The film will take some time," Catch News had quoted the film-maker as saying.
While Sharman has said he is waiting for the team to start the sequel, Madhavan, too, had earlier said he would be a part of the cast of "3 Idiots" sequel, and that suggests the lead cast of the sequel will be the same. "Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi have a concept ready for the '3 Idiots' sequel, but there has not been any progress in it. Whenever it happens, I will be a part of it," the report had quoted Madhavan as saying.
