With just days ahead of the "Dhoom 3" release, the buzz around the film has gained rapid momentum.
Latest report doing the rounds is that the action-thriller film will feature Bollywood's most expensive song ever created. The song titled "Malang", featuring Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif, was reportedly made on a budget of ₹5 crore. The track will have 200 professional gymnasts from the US. The song's budget includes fee for the gymnasts who stayed in the city for 20 days, their costumes, as well as the elaborate sets, a source told Hindustan Times.
Unfortunately, fans have to wait until "Dhoom 3" hits the screens to see the full song as the film's production house, Yash Raj Films, and Aamir have decided not release full videos of any of their songs. Instead, the makers have decided to reveal only 30-second long teasers of the songs for the fans, reported Koimoi.
So far one promotional video track - "Dhoom Machale" - featuring Katrina has been released. The song received mixed reviews from critics and audience alike. [To look at the video, click here]
Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, "Dhoom 3" is the third installment in the popular "Dhoom" franchise. Aamir plays the antagonist in the film, whereas Abhishek Bachchan will reprise his cop role. Katrina and Uday Chopra don pivotal roles in the film.
The action thriller flick is all set to hit the screens on 20 December, a few days ahead of Christmas. Expectations are high on the film, thanks to the popular franchise and Aamir's star power. Trade pundits and fans are eagerly waiting to see if "Dhoom 3" beats "Krrish 3", which recently became the biggest Bollywood grosser of all time, knocking down "Chennai Express" from the position.
Now, all eyes are on the Aamir starrer if it will set a new benchmark by creating the ₹300-crore club.
