Baahubali fame Prabhas has reportedly been approached by Aamir Khan for an integral role in the mega project Mahabharata.
With Thugs of Hindostan almost ready, Aamir has started working on his dream project Mahabharata, according to Times Now. The report stated that the actor has offered the role of Arjun to Prabhas.
To be produced by Mukesh Ambani with a budget of Rs 1,000 crore, Mahabharata, if made, will be the biggest movie made in the history of Indian cinema. Also, considering the vastness of the subject, it will be made in three parts.
Although there has not been any official confirmation on the making of Mahabharata, a lot of speculations have been made regarding the cast of the film. It is said that Aamir is keen to play the role of Krishna, while Deepika Padukone may be roped in play the main female character of Draupadi.
Mahabharata will require a huge cast, and also many years of research plus hard work as it is a subject involving several characters and incidents. Earlier, it was reported that Aamir would drop the plan of making this movie.
It was said that Mr. Perfectionist was sceptical of making it due to the controversy that was caused during the making of Padmaavat. It was reported that Aamir was doubtful of making it as he had felt that he would face a lot of issues as it generally happens when a movie is made based on history or mythology.
Nonetheless, the latest reports suggest that Aamir is again keen to work on this mega project. Meanwhile, he is set to appear in another big film Thugs of Hindostan, which will hit the screens on November 7.
Apart from Aamir, the period drama features Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Sheikh.
