Aamir Khan's "Dangal" and Salman Khan's "Sultan" have one vital aspect linking them to each other -- wrestling. Now, it's obvious that they'll have some bits in common, if not all.
Apparently, Aamir is losing sleep over the trailer of "Sultan," which shows Salman pulling off the "Dhobi Pachaad" stunt with effortless ease.
"Aamir was not very happy with Salman's 'Sultan' trailer. He felt that the makers had actually played a spoilsport and jeopardized his film 'Dangal.' Aamir's film is a biopic on Mahavir Phogat and it talks about this one move 'dhobi-pachad' that the character tries to master. With Salman already showcasing it in his film, Aamir feels that his film will be hampered," a source told BollywoodLife.
This is surprising because Aamir has been very upbeat about "Sultan" and was even heard telling the press that he cannot wait longer for the film to hit the screens.
Last year, there were reports suggesting a rife between the Khans over the choice of shoot locations. However, Kiran Rao and Salman rubbished the rumours saying the films were different and there wasn't any rift between the two.
"The locations are not quite the same. I know that Akshay Kumar had shot 'Singh is Bling' in the locations that we are now filming in but not Sultan," Kiran had told the Indian Express. On the storyline, Salman said that "Sultan" has a romantic angle to it, whereas "Dangal" concentrates on a father and his two kids.
"We don't want that comparison between my film and his because we both are working as sincerely as we can and we want fans to see two good films next year. I don't want any ridiculous controversy around the films," the Hindustan Times quoted him as saying.
"Dangal" is out on Dec. 23, and "Sultan" this Eid.
