Just a few days back there were reports of Amitabh Bachchan opting out of "Thug" and now gossip mills are abuzz that the lead actor Hrithik Roshan has been replaced in the film.
Vijay Krishna Acharya's (Victor) "Thug" was expected to go on the floors soon with Hrithik as the lead, but the latest reports suggest that a Khan will replace Duggu in the film. If reports are anything to go by, then it is none other than Aamir Khan, who will replace Hrithik in the "Dhoom 3" director's film.
An entertainment portal reported that Hrithik has walked out of the project due to "Mohenjo Daro." The Greek God of Bollywood wanted to see how "Mohenjo Daro" fares at the box office to give nod to "Thug," BollywoodLife reported. But now he has been replaced by Aamir, who previously worked with Victor and Yash Raj Films in "Dhoom 3."
Another entertainment portal reported that the makers wanted to start the project soon, as it has been delayed quite a few times. Victor has approached Aamir with the script, but he is yet to give his nod, reports the portal. "Victor and YRF want to start Thug soon. It is taking them time to finalize the cast, but they have a cracker of a script. All said and done, it's still a win-win situation for Victor and YRF," Spotboye quoted a source as saying.
This piece of information might come as a surprise for many, as they wanted to see Hrithik with the "Dhoom" franchise team again. But all these are mere speculations and there has been no announcement from the Yash Raj Films or the directors or actors about the same.
