After Salman Khan in "Sultan," Aamir Khan is gearing up to come up as a wrestler in "Dangal." However, reports suggest that the plot of "Sultan" has forced Aamir to change the story of "Dangal" to some extent.
Anushka Sharma was seen showing her wrestling prowess against male opponents in the ring and that had turned out to be one of the most unique aspects of "Sultan." Aamir too had similar plans for "Dangal", according to Bollywoodlife.
Now, Aamir has decided to keep the story of "Dangal" more concentrated towards showcasing the father-daughter relationship rather than any women knocking down her opponents in the ring, the report added.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, "Sultan" has had an overwhelming response at the box office and is close to cross Rs 300 crore collection at the domestic market.
On the other side, "Dangal" is a biopic on real-life wrestler Mahaveer Singh Phogat. Aamir will play the lead role and will be seen as the father of two daughters – Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat, played by Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh respectively.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, "Dangal" also features Saksi Tanwar as Aamir's onscreen wife. There has been much comparison between "Sultan" and "Dangal" for the fact that both the films are based on wrestling.
However, Aamir had earlier maintained that both the movies have a completely different storyline and emotion. "Dangal" is slated to release on December 23.
