Wrestling is the common thread that ties Aamir Khan's "Dangal" and Salman Khan's "Sultan" together and hence, there are bound to be aspects, which will collide with one another.
Because "Sultan" was marketed and promoted using Sultan Ali Khan (Salman), Aamir has revised his strategies. According to a SpotboyE report, the "Dangal" star has asked his team to design the publicity campaign in a way that it highlights women empowerment.
In a nutshell, he wants his onscreen daughters – Fatima Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra — to lead from the front. Unlike what the makers did with "Sultan," where the focus was on Sultan and his journey.
In other news, Aamir is currently shooting for a promotional track for "Dangal," in which he will be introducing the girls. It is said to be a peppy track and the superstar will rap for it. While Pritam has composed it, Amitabh Bhattacharya has penned the lyrics.
Apparently, Aamir has been working closely with the two over last few weeks and wants to get it right. "Pritam and Amitabh are part of his practice sessions. Mr. Perfectionist wants the track to be nothing short of perfect and is enjoying trying his hand at rapping," a source told Mid-Day.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is essentially a biopic on senior Olympics coach Mahavir Singh Phogat. Since Aamir's character will be seen ageing, he had to undergo a drastic physical transformation. He gained over 25 kilos and later had to lose all of it to shoot scenes, in which where he plays the young Mahavir.
"Dangal" opens in theatres on Dec. 23.
