Bollywood actors Aamir Khan and Anil Kapoor are very good friends, and if rumours are to be believed, Aamir will feature in the TV series "24." The "Dangal" actor will reportedly launch the second season at a press conference along with Anil Kapoor.
"Aamir remains one of the most vocal supporters for '24': Season 2. He will launch the show along with Anil at a press conference scheduled in the first week of June," DNA quoted a source as saying. Also, speculations are rife that Aamir will play a cameo in the TV series.
"Talks are on and Aamir has shown interest, but the perfectionist that he is, he will thoroughly review each aspect before making a commitment. If time permits and he takes it up, the show will become even bigger," the source said.
Aamir and Anil worked for the first time in the 1999 release "Mann." In fact, Aamir had also lent his voice to the family dog of Anil's character in Zoya Akhtar's "Dil Dhadakne Do." Now, it will be interesting to see Aamir again on the small screen, after "Satyamev Jayate."
It had been reported earlier that Anil's "24" would also have Sakshi Tanwar, who is also making an appearance opposite Aamir in "Dangal." The report suggested the actress would be seen as the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) chief in the series.
Sakshi and Anil's characters will eventually become close friends while solving a particular case, according to reports. Besides Sakshi, Sikandar Kher is also believed to be a part of the upcoming second instalment of the show.
Meanwhile, Anil is busy shooting for his television serial and has not signed any Bollywood film yet. However, there were reports that the actor might star in "Aankhen 2" along with Shahid Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Amitabh Bachchan.
