'A...Aa' box office collection: Trivikram's film beats 'Sarainodu' record in US premieres, becomes biggest opener for Nithin

Director Trivikram Srinivas' "A...Aa" has received massive opening at the U.S. box office in the premiere shows. Early estimates show it will beat the record of "Sarainodu" and also become the biggest opener for actor Nithin.

Trivikram Srinivas, Nithin and Samantha have decent fan following in some international markets. The promos of their movie "A...Aa" have created a lot of curiosity among filmgoers. The hype surrounding the film generated huge demand for its overseas distribution rights. Blue Sky, one of the leading international film distributors, acquired its rights for a whopping Rs. 4.70 crore.

The bosses at Blue Sky made grand arrangements for its premiere shows to cash in on the craze of the trio in key international markets, especially North America. They reportedly held premiere shows in 130 screens in the U.S. on Wednesday night, and also reduced the ticket price to below $13 after seeing the dismal response for "Brahmotsavam," which had tickets priced as high as $23.

Idlebrain Jeevi tweeted: "USA premieres confirmed in 130 screens tonight on 1 June!" He added, "A.. Aa... USA tickets priced under $15. Premieres on 1 June!!. [sic]"

The Nithin and Samantha-starrer had decent advance booking for the premiere shows and has opened to fantastic response the preview shows. As per hourly estimates, "A...Aa" has collected $168,000 at the U.S. box office in the premiere shows. Idlebrain Jeevi tweeted: "#AAaMovie collects $217k so far for premieres in USA. @actor_nithiin highest is $361k for GJG. A Aa will cross it by Friday! Fantastic! [sic]"

Taran Adarsh also tweeted, "Telugu film #AAaMovie starts on a SPLENDID note in USA... Wed previews $ 251,548 [₹ 1.69 cr]... Expect a TERRIFIC weekend! @Rentrak."
