Trivikram Srinivas' latest venture "A...Aa" has seen a fantastic opening and superb collection at the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana (AP/T) box office on its first day. The film has become the biggest opener for Nithin.
"A...Aa" is one of the much-awaited big-ticket releases of Tollywood in 2016. The movie has been creating buzz ever since it was announced. Its promos had garnered a lot of attention and created curiosity about the film. In addition, its makers had massive promotion for it. Trade experts predicted that the film would surely start with bang.
The Nithin and Samantha-starrer released in 580 screens of 550 locations across both the Telugu-speaking states on June 2. The movie saw decent advance booking for its first day and a huge number of footfalls in the early-morning (benefit) shows on Thursday.
The Trivikram Srinivas-directed family entertainer received positive response from the audience, and the word of mouth took its business upwards in the later shows. "A...Aa" registered an average of 70 percent occupancy in both single screens and multiplexes. The movie ran to packed houses in several cinema halls.
The makers are yet to reveal its collection figures. But if we are to go by early eastimates, "A...Aa" has collected Rs. 8.15 crore gross at the AP/T box office on the first day. The film has earned approximately Rs. 5.76 crore for its distributors on its opening day.
"A...Aa" has beaten the opening-day collection records of Nithin's recent releases like "Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde" (GJG - 2013), "Heart Attack" (2014) and "Chinnadana Nee Kosam" (CNK - 2015).
