Remark:
In of terms display quality, Micromax's 'A116 Canvas HD' wins hands down against the Samsung's Galaxy Grand. Canvas HD has a higher pixel density of 294 ppi compared to Grand's 187 ppi display.
Apart from an updated Jelly Bean OS (Android v4.1.2) Galaxy Grand does not have much to brag. Considering other aspects, both the phablets have similar features like RAM, memory capacity, battery capacity, etc.
Canvas HD once again comes top in the processor department as well. The smartphone packs a quad-core processor where as the Galaxy Grand comes with a slower dual-core processor.
Despite Galaxy Grand's expensive price tag of ₹21, 500, it fails with sub-par features compared to A116 Canvas HD. With superior specs and low price-tag (less than ₹15, 000), Micromax's new flagship phablet is expected to get a warm reception in a price-sensitive market like India.
According to various reports, Micromax A116 Canvas HD smartphone is expected to hit retail stores by 14 February.
