The 61st Britannia Filmfare Awards night was a grand affair with who's who of Bollywood celebrities gracing the award ceremony. Hosts Kapil Sharma and Shah Rukh Khan entertained celebrities and viewers with their humour.
The event also saw some incredible performances of Bollywood actors, including Shah Rukh, Kriti Sanon, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt and Salman Khan. However, the star of the evening was the movie "Bajirao Mastani", which bagged the maximum awards.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali won Best Director, Ranveer Singh won Best Actor, Priyanka Chopra won Best Supporting actress award, Shreya Ghoshal for Best Female Singer Award and Pandit Birju Maharaj for Best Choreography among others for "Bajirao Mastani".
The other movies that bagged honours at the Filmfare Awards 2016, includes "Piku", "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and "Tanu Weds Manu Returns", while Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut, Priyanka Chopra and Anil Kapoor were the top actors to receive the award.
