60 Vayadu Maaniram
Vikram Prabhu and Prakash Raj's 60 Vayadu Maaniram.PR Handout

Prakash Raj and Radha Mohan, who had delivered some memorable movies like Abhiyum Naanum, Mozhi and Payanam, have collaborated again for 60 Vayadu Maaniram. The movie is a remake of hit Kannada movie Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu (GBSM).

The Tamil movie has Indhuja playing the female lead with Samuthirakani enacting an important character. Ilaiyaraaja has composed the music, Vivek Anand has handled the cinematography department, while TS Jai has edited the flick.

The story of 60 Vayadu Maaniram is about a father and son's relationship. Prakash Raj has stepped into the shoes of Ananth Nag, while Vikram Prabhu will be seen in Rakshit Shetty's character in the Tamil version of GBSM.

Govindarajan, an Alzheimer's patient, played by Prakash Raj goes missing from a health care centre and he is being treated by a doctor (Indhuja). His son does not share a great relationship till then and he had his own reasons for disliking his father.

The drama that unfolds once he goes missing and the journey of his son's self-discovery form the crux of the story.

The original had won the hearts of the Kannada audience. The good content backed by solid performances from the cast had impressed the viewers. The Tamil version has already created a positive buzz with its trailer. Will the film live up to the viewers' expectations? Find it out in the below tweets:

Kaushik LM: #60VayaduMaaniram 1st half - Going fine! Emotional and relatable father - son angle, with the typical breezy #Radhamohan touches in comedy and dialogues. @prakashraaj's masterclass as the Alzheimers patient, refreshing outing for @iamVikramPrabhu, effortless @Actress_Indhuja..

Haricharan Pudipeddi: 3.5 stars for #AnnanukkuJai. There's not a single dull moment in this delightfully fun political satire, which captures the local politics dynamics in the most genuine fashion. The magic is in the writing, especially how the comedy is born out of most serious scenes. Loved it.
