At least five people were killed and 40 injured after a massive suicide attack targeted a government building near Kabul's diplomatic district on Tuesday, according to reports.
A Reuters witness said the explosion took place at an intersection near the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Mines. The story is still developing and more details are awaited.
The location of the bomb blast is close to Serena Hotel in central Kabul, which frequented by expatriates.
This would be the fifth major attack in Kabul in over two weeks. Reports claim that the impact of the blast was so powerful that it rattled windows several kilometres away from the bombing site.
