The hatchback on the throne is the newly launched Volskwagen Polo GTI. The three-door performance hatchback from the German carmaker has been priced at Rs 25.65 lakh, ex-showroom Thane, and it will be limited to just 99 units. The hot hatch is powered by a 1.8-litre four-cylinder TSI petrol mill that churns out 189bhp of power mated to seven-speed DSG gearbox. The Polo GTI will reach 0-100 kmph in 7.2 seconds before hitting a top speed of 233 kmph.
Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione (158bhp)
Fiat Abarth 595 Competizione has been priced at Rs 29.85 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The car is powered by a 1. 4-litre turbo-petrol engine that develops 158bhp at 5,500rpm and 230Nm torque mated to sequential automated gearbox with steering wheel shift paddle. The 595 Competizione can accelerate 0-100kmph in mere 7.4 seconds and has a top whack of 210kmph.
Fiat Abarth Punto (145bhp)

Ford's small car Figo is available in three engine options. The car returns ARAI claimed fuel efficiency of 17kmpl and is priced at Rs 7.27 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
Volkswagen Polo GT TSI/TDI (104bhp)
The Volkswagen Polo GT twin is sold in diesel and petrol avatar. The Polo GT TSI is powered by 1.2 TSI petrol engine developing 104bhp at 5,000rpm and 175Nm of torque in the range of 1500-4100rpm mated to seven-speed DSG gearbox. The 1.5-litre Polo GT TDI diesel variant also develops 104bhp at 4400rpm and 250Nm of torque at 1500-2500rpm mated to 5-speed manual transmission.
