Marvel is known for placing Easter eggs and hidden references in its TV shows as well as movies. However, a lot of them don't catch our eye on the first time around. We have listed 5 Marvel TV Easter eggs that you may have probably missed.

Jessica Jones

One of the coolest references in Jessica Jones comes in the form of a flashback sequence. Her friend Trish suggests that she adopt a code name. She later suggests that it should be Jewel. This is an ode to Jessica in the comic, who actually had a short stint as Jewel.

Another symbolisation comes in the form of a conversation in which Jessica refers to an alternate personal identity named Angela Del Toro. In the comics, Del Toro was a Daredevil character who became the fourth superhero to take on the mantle of White Tiger. Watch out for more Easter eggs in Jessica Jones on Netflix.

Daredevil

The Daredevil makes a nonchalant reference to Electra. During a flashback sequence, Matt and Foggy talk about a Greek girl he had once dated that didn't work out. This woman can be no other than the famous Elektra, known to be the superhero assassin, who was both a lover and an enemy to Matt aka Daredevil.

The series also has a cameo of their creator, Stan Lee, in the form of a photograph on the wall in the police station. Filled with secret references and homages, catch Daredevil on Netflix in India.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The TV show's Easter eggs are more often than not provide hints as to where the season is heading. Stan Lee's most popular line 'With great power, comes great responsibility' is part of the show as it recreates the famous philosophy.

In the pilot episode, Skye tells Deathlok, "With great power comes..." and just when we think she's going to finish the line, she goes off script with "A ton of weird crap that you are not prepared to deal with."

Another implication comes in the form of the Ghost Rider. In a flashback scene, a couple of characters are looking for the "Darkhold" in a basement. In this basement, we see a poster for the "Quentin Carnival" which is a notable place for Ghost Rider fans. Right from Avenger references to lesser-known characters of the Marvel universe, catch all of it on Amazon Prime in India.

The Gifted

While The Gifted isn't known to be set in any X-men timeline, the world shown in the TV show is pretty similar to that of X-Men: Days of Future Past. It features most of the timelines trademarks like Sentinels, mutant power-inhibiting collars and the assassination of anti-mutant U.S. Senator.

However, one of the most popular and hilarious references on the show comes in the form of the familiar sound of Eclipse's cell phone ringtone. When having a conversation with Blink about how to free Polaris from Mutant Detention, Eclipse receives a call from Reed Strucker, and the ringtone is the famous theme from the 1992 X-Men animated series. If X-Men references are what you're are looking for, catch The Gifted on Star World India.

Luke Cage

There is a brief reference to Luke Cage's costume in episode 4. It is actually a restoration of the actual costume in the comics. However, Luke puts it on as a matter of necessity after he escapes prison.

When he sees a reflection of himself in the car window, he pouts and says "You look like a damn fool". This series also has an Elektra reference. When Luke is chatting up his blind friend at the newspaper stand, in the background, if you look closely enough, you will find what appears to be several sketches of Elektra with her red scarf around the bottom half of her face. Catch more of these humorous references on Luke Cage on Netflix in India.
