An ultra high-definition video from the International Space Station is providing an unprecedented view of the planet and inside the ISS.
The view of life in space is getting a major boost with the introduction of 4K Ultra High-Definition (UHD) video, providing an unprecedented look at what its like to live and work aboard the International Space Station, Nasa said in a statement.
This is the first of a number of videos in 4K-UHD to be released by the space agency, which says the technology will allow researchers to get high resolution video providing a new insight into the vast array of experiments taking place every day.
It will also bestow the most breath-taking views of planet Earth and space station activities ever acquired for consumption by those still dreaming of making the trip to outer space.
Currently on board the ISS are Commander Gennady Padalka, Scott Kelly, and Mikhail Kornienko.
They will be joined by OlegKononenko, KjellLindgren and KimiyaYui, who are currently scheduled to launch in late July.
