After the gruesome Delhi bus rape case, another woman was allegedly gangraped in the capital by three men.
Barely five days after the brutal gangrape of a 23-year-old girl by six men, a 40-year-old mother of four from north-east Delhi's Welcome area has alleged that she was raped by three men in her house.
The horrifying incident took place at a rented place in Welcome area in the capital.
"The incident was reported from east Delhi's Welcome area. The woman, who lives with her family, alleged that three of her neighbours raped her when she was alone at home Wednesday evening," IANS quoted a police officer as saying.
Police have arrested two accused - Gaffar and Alam - from their house, but the third person is still at large. The victim moved to the rented place fortnight ago, while her family lives in New Usmanpur.
According to police, the accused barged into the house, sedated her and later took turns to rape her.
Before leaving her house, the accused threatened the victim to not talk about the incident to anyone. She informed her family members on Wednesday evening, following which they went to the police station in that area.
"A case was lodged after her medical examination at Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital confirmed rape. Her statement was also recorded," Deccan Herald quoted an official as saying.
