A 15-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and gangraped by four youths in a moving car for two hours in Chakeri town in Kanpur Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh.
The police have registered a case against the accused based on the victim's complaint. Two of the four accused have been identified as Shadab and Shakib. Police have started search operation to nab the duo and their accomplices, Chakeri Inspector Rajeev Dwivedi said, Amar Ujala reported.
The incident occurred at around 8:30 pm on Sunday when the girl had gone out to buy medicines for her ill mother. The four youths in the car allegedly abducted her while she was on her way to a medical store in her locality.
They took turns to rape the girl in their moving car on Kanpur-Lucknow highway. After sexually assaulting her for two hours they threw her in an unconscious state at an isolated area near toll plaza in Unnao district's Nawabganj town, around 55 km away from Kanpur Nagar district, and fled.
The victim regained consciousness after midnight and called her family using a passerby's mobile phone and informed them about the incident. Her family rushed to the spot and admitted her to a hospital.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the two identified youths were friends with the victim, the police said.
The victim will undergo medical examination. Her father is a tanner and is a resident of Shiv Godavari Nagar in Chakeri town.
