Four Mollywood films - "Kanchi", "Camel Safari", "Cold Storage" and "Red Rain", hit the screens on Friday (4 October).
Expectations are high for "Kanchi" as the film brings together Indrajith and Murali Gopi after the critically acclaimed "Left Right Left". Directed by C R Krishnakumarand and written by Jeyamohan, the film, a thriller, revolves around a rifle and the trailers have sparked curiosity among viewers. The lead actors are joined by Archana Gupta and Joy Mathew. Gopi has also sung for the film after his successful tryst with the megaphone in "Left Right Left".
"Camel Safari", directed by Jayaraj, is a romantic film set in Rajasthan and features Arun Shankar and debutante Pankaja Menon in the lead roles. The film is a tale of management student from Mangalore who attends a wedding in Rajasthan. There, she falls in love with a Rajput boy and the events that take place after form the crux of the story.
"It is my first out-and-out love story. It is not the usual boy-meets-girl story, though. Rather, it is the story of a girl who meets a boy and decides to pursue him to get him to fall in love with her," said director Jayaraj, reported The Hindu.
"Cold Storage", directed by VinodVikraman and ShyjuThamban, has debutants Jafeena, Muhammed Noufal and Priyaraj playing the lead roles. The film is a romantic thriller about four youngsters and their ambitions for the future.
The last film, "Red Rain", is a scientific thriller and has Narain playing the lead role. Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, the film is about a young researcher's quest to understand the cause of red rainfall that hit the state some years back. The film also stars Devan, Tini Tom, Shari and Mohan Sharma. .
