The parking lot of the Reserve Bank building in Melbourne was flooded with three thousand litres of diesel on Tuesday, prompting an immediate closure of the area for vehicles and pedestrians.
The Melbourne Fire Bridge is working to contain the massive leak, which led to the fuel spill into the building's parking lot at about noon local time.
"(The spill) is inside the building," fire brigade spokesman Keith Robinson said, according to The Age.
The cause of the leak is still not known.
More details awaited.
