At least three people, including two minors, were killed and eight others injured when their car hit a parked truck and overturned on Ahmedabad-Mumbai Express Highway early on Wednesday morning.
The injured persons are undergoing treatment at government-run SSG hospital in Vadodara. The condition of the injured victims is said to be critical.
The deceased persons include Ramprasad R Lohar, 40, and his two daughters, 5-year-old Puja and 2-year-old Rajni, an officer at district police control room told PTI.
The accident took place at around 1:30 am near Bhadarva in Vadodara District of Gujarat. The car hit the trailer truck parked on the highway and turned upside down.
When the accident occurred, the victims were returning to Navsari city after attending a wedding at Lotadiya village in Uttar Pradesh's Siddharthnagar district.
Bhadarva Police have launched an investigation into the accident.
