Actress Surveen Chawla, who will soon be seen in Anil Kapoor starrer TV show "24," said that she has faced "casting couch" issues in the South Indian film industry.
In an interview with SpotboyE, Surveen said that she had faced "casting couch" in the South Indian film industry, but is yet to encounter something like that in Bollywood.
"Oh ya! But surprisingly not in Bollywood. It came from the South industry. I haven't seen the bad side of Bollywood yet. It seems like I have had some protective forces around me," Surveen said when asked if she faced "casting couch" ever in her career.
When asked how she had reacted to such offers, Surveen said, "Don't remind me of those phone calls and text messages. I wasn't game for it. I will wait for the right kind of work. If I have it in me, everything will fall in place. You need a bit of luck too in this industry."
"Casting couch" is something that is believed to be very much prevalent in the glamour world but very few celebrities prefer to talk about it in public. Surveen, who was earlier seen in the movie "Hate Story 3," will share screen space with Anil Kapoor in "24" season 2. The actress will also have a kissing scene with the veteran actor in the show.
When asked about her liplock with Anil, Surveen said, "Why does this become a question? Television has undergone a sea of change. People do kiss when in love, don't they?" "24" is a thriller based on an American show by the same name. It will be aired on Colors TV July 17 onwards.
