The first teaser of Suriya's much-awaited "24" was supposed to release Wednesday, Feb.24. However, much to the disappointment of the actor's fans, it has been postponed. The buzz now is the video will appear before the audience in the first week of March.
"#Suriya's #24TheMovie teaser won't be out on 24th Feb. 2D entertainment rubbishes rumours! (sic)" confirms Galatta on its Twitter account. This news has disappointed fans of Suriya, who were waiting eagerly for the video clip to hit the Internet with a bang this week. The new date of its release will be announced shortly.
Journalist Kaushik LM adds: "#24teaser launch expected in March first week .. Early birds who have seen it are raving about it already .. #Suriya #24TheMovie. (sic)"
Currently, the film's post-productions work is underway at a brisk pace, and the CGI work is taking much more time than expected. Suriya had joined the dubbing last week, and will wrap up his portion of it by this weekend.
"24" is a science-fiction movie written and directed by Vikram Kumar. The title refers to the number of hours in a day and the film deals with time travel. Suriya will be seen in triple roles and Samantha and Nithya Menen are the female leads in the Tamil flick.
Ajay, Sathyan, Saranya Ponvannan, Jnanpith-laureate Girish Karnad, Mohan Raman and others are also in the cast. Two-time Oscar-winner AR Rahman has scored the music for "24", whose audio will be out in March. Kiran Deohans is the cinematographer while Prawin Pudi is the editor of the multilingual flick.
The forthcoming movie will hit the screens in April. The original plan was to release the film Apr. 14 for Tamil New Year. However, the makers of "24" decided to change the date to avoid clash with Vijay-starrer "Theri," written and directed by Atlee Kumar. Hence, Suriya's film is likely to hit the screens in the first week of April.
