The new-gen Renault Duster is reportedly set to make its global debut sooner than expected. The new Dacia Duster, which is sold as Renault Duster in India, is now rumoured to make its world premiere in June.
The emerging reports suggest the new Dacia Duster will be unveiled on June 22 at an event in Paris before it makes its appearance at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The new Duster was spied on test in Europe quite a few times and the images suggest the crossover could pack a host of changes. Although the overall body proportion and the appearance of the Duster look the same as the current model, there could be a change in the platform of the new Duster. The current Duster is based on B0/Logan platform and the upcoming model is expected to be built on CMF-B platform. However, there is no confirmation on the same.
The new Duster is expected to see changes at the front and rear and could pack features such as projector headlamps with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs). The model is also likely to get an updated cabin. In its new avatar, the Duster may also get safety features such as airbags and ABS as standard.
Little is known about the powertrain and the configuration of the second generation Duster. It is expected to be offered in both five and seven-seater configurations. Reports also pointed to a1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
