Japanese carmaker Nissan has launched the 2018 version of the Micra hatchback in India. The latest version of the hatchback comes with no major changes on the design while it has been packed with some useful features. The new range of the Micra has been priced from Rs 6.19 lakh (ex-showroom).
Sold in five variant options, the 2018 Nissan Micra comes with dual front airbags and rear parking sensors as standard across the trims. Meanwhile, ABS with EBD and brake assist is still missing in the base diesel XL D (O) variant.
The top-spec petrol automatic variant XV CVT now gets rear parking camera. Both XV diesel and petrol diesel now come loaded with new 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation. In addition, the 2018 Micra range gets a new rear spoiler and turn indicators on ORVM.

The 2018 Micra continues to be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol motor churning 73bhp and 104 Nm of peak torque and the 1.5-litre diesel that generates 63bhp and 160 Nm of peak torque. The transmission is taken care of by a five-speed manual and CVT X-Tronic automatic transmission in the petrol models.
2018 Nissan Micra Active
Along with the new Micra, Nissan has also launched the new range of Micra Active range. The new Micra Active also gets dual front airbags and rear parking sensors as standard. The 6.2-inch infotainment system, turn indicators on ORVMs and rear parking sensors are limited to the top-spec XV variant. The Micra Active range comes without rear parking camera and rear spoiler.
