After the launch of the Activa 5G and 2018 edition Activa 125, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has updated the third Activa variant, the Activa i. The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer has priced the 2018 edition of Activa i at Rs 50,010 (ex-showroom Delhi) and comes with an array of minor updates and feature additions.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has updated the graphics of the Activa i with a metal muffler protector, a new front hook and body-coloured rear view mirror caps. The instrument cluster has been updated with dual-tone treatment and the new Activa i also get 4-in-1 lock with seat opening switch debuted with the Honda Grazia. One of the most attractive addition is the under-seat mobile charger, which can be opted for as an extra.
Honda has also updated the colour options of Activa i. The most affordable Activa variant is now offered in two new colours, Candy Jazzy Blue and Mat Axis Grey Metallic, in addition to the existing Lush Magenta Metallic, Orchid Purple Metallic and Imperial Red Metallic colours. As part of the update, the Orange Metallic and Red colour options have been discontinued.
2018 Activa i continues to draw power from a BS-IV compliant 109.19cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that develops 8bhp of power at 7,000rpm and 8.94Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm mated to a V-Matic transmission unit. Honda claims the Activa i can reach a top speed of 83kmph.
The Activa i comes with spring-loaded hydraulic type suspension at both front and rear, while steel wheels and drum brakes are a standard on both ends as well, combined with CBS (Combined Braking System).
Honda Activa i is the compact Activa variant that measures 1,795mm in length, 705mm in width, and 1,115mm in height. The scooter has a wheelbase of 1,238mm, ground clearance of 165mm, kerb weight of 103kg and fuel tank capacity of 5.3-litres.
