Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, has added new colours to the 2017 Suzuki Hayabusa in the country. The new Hayabusa will be available in three colours – Glass Sparkle Black / Pearl Glacier White (AGT), Pearl Vigor Blue / Glass Sparkle Black (BBD) and Glass Sparkle Black (YVB).
Priced at Rs 13,88,329 (Ex-showroom Delhi), Suzuki Hayabusa was earlier brought to India as CBU (Completely Built Up) unit. The company started the import as CKD (Completely Knocked Down) Kits from March 2016 and they are now being assembled at the SMIPL factory in Gurgaon.
"Since the introduction of the CKD version, the sales have shown a 100% growth, and there is a long waiting period for which the company is working to reduce the delivery time," said the company.
2017 Suzuki Hayabusa comes powered by a 1,340cc four-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC engine, which can churn out 195bhp and 154Nm of torque mated to six-speed constant-mesh transmission. The superbike measures 2,190mm in length, 735mm in width and 1,165mm in height. The bike features a wheelbase of 1,480mm and 120mm ground clearance. It comes with inverted telescopic suspension in the front and link-type suspension at the rear. Both wheels are equipped with disc brakes.
Suzuki has begun the delivery of the 2017 Suzuki Hayabusa in the country and the first locally-assembled Hayabusa was delivered to a customer in Delhi recently.
