Japanese carmaker Nissan has announced the launch of the new Micra with updated features in India. The new Nissan Micra has been priced at Rs. 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
This is not the all-new Micra, which went on sales in some of the international markets. Although the updated Micra remains the same as the existing model in terms of style and design, it adds a slew of new features in the hatchback's list.
There are no changes on the exterior except the addition of the new follow-me function and the rain sensing wipers. The cabin of the new Micra gets orange inserts and rest of it remains unchanged. Mechanically, the new Micra continues to be powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol motor churning 73bhp and 104 Nm of peak torque and the 1.5-litre diesel that generates 63bhp and 160 Nm of peak torque. The transmission is taken care of by a five-speed manual and CVT X-Tronic automatic transmission in the petrol models.
Nissan Micra is pitted against Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 in India.
