The much-awaited supercar GT-R from the house of Nissan is open for pre-bookings in India. The new avatar of the iconic supercar GT-R is expected to be launched in the country anytime soon and the company has also started the teaser campaign to welcome the new offering.
The Nissan GT-R made its India debut at the Auto Expo 2016 in February. Under the hood of the GT-R is a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 engine that develops 565bhp at 6,400rpm and 633Nm of peak torque. Each engine of the GT-R is assembled by one of five master craftsmen, called Takumi, at Nissan's plant in Yokohama, Japan.
The new avatar of the iconic supercar GT-R features changes focused on five areas — exterior design, interior refinement, driving performance, ride comfort and advanced technology, according to the company. The 2017 Nissan GT-R flaunts the new V-motion grille with matte chrome finish and an updated mesh pattern.
Inside the cabin, the new GT-R features an instrument panel wrapped in hand-selected Nappa leather and a revised front seat design. It features relocated and redesigned paddle shifters, display commander for audio, communication, and entertainment selection and multi-function display. The GT-R will be available in Vibrant Red, Blue Racing, Ultimate Silver, Gun Metallic, Black Metallic, Pearl White and Katsura Orange shades.
Nissan India is expected to launch the GT-R in India in September. The company had earlier released a video, titled 'A Legendary Souvenir,' that features famous Indian racing driver Karun Chandok, hinting at the arrival of the supercar.
