It was just a few days back that Japanese car-maker Nissan announced the opening of the pre-booking of its iconic supercar, the GT-R, in India. And now the first batch of the car allotted for the Indian market has been sold out.
Nissan is expected to launch the GT-R in India in November, and it is available for bookings in the country for a down-payment of Rs. 25 lakh. According to Autocar India, the first consignment of the GT-R, which comprised six cars, has already landed in India at the Mumbai airport.
Nissan GT-R, in its new avatar, features changes focused on five areas — exterior design, interior refinement, driving performance, ride comfort and advanced technology. At the heart of the supercar is a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 engine that develops 565bhp at 6,400rpm and 633Nm of peak torque. This combination propels the car from 0-100 kmph in less than 3 seconds. Each engine of the GT-R is assembled by one of five master craftsmen, called Takumi, at Nissan's plant in Yokohama, Japan.
The GT-R will be available in Vibrant Red, Blue Racing, Ultimate Silver, Gun Metallic, Black Metallic, Pearl White and Katsura Orange shades in India. It will be offered in the European spec Premium Edition.
The 2017 Nissan GT-R flaunts the new V-motion grille with matte chrome finish and an updated mesh pattern. Inside the cabin, the new GT-R features an instrument panel wrapped in hand-selected Nappa leather and a revised front seat design. It features relocated and redesigned paddle shifters, display commander for audio, communication, and entertainment selection and multi-function display.
Nissan is expected to price the GT-R at around Rs. 2 crore.
