Get ready with a bucket of Golden Popcorns! It's time to move on from the infamous Oscar gaffe and concentrate on another big award show — MTV Movie & TV Awards. This year will see major changes in the awards category.
MTV's 26th awards gala will be held this weekend. Pitch Perfect and Modern Family star Adam DeVine, who won an MTV movie award last year, will host the show.
Here's everything you want to know about the MTV Movie and & TV Awards show.
Place:
2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards will be held on Sunday, May 7 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
Performances:
MTV has enlisted three big performances including Big Sean's "Jump Out the Window" and Noah Cyrus's "Stay Together" for the award show. The gigs of Pitbull, Camila Cabello, J Balvin (first televised performance of "Hey Ma" from the Fate of the Furious) will lend colour to the ceremony.
Where to watch live:
The star-studded gala will take place on Sunday, May 7, at 8 pm ET/PT (There will be a little tape delay for West Coast viewers). Indian viewers can watch the show on Monday, May 8 at 6.30 am IST (Vh1).
The show will be aired on MTV along with MTV2, MTV Classic, Comedy Central, VH1, Spike, BET and TV Land

Nominees:
MTV has done away with female and male categories from this year. So basically it means Beauty and the Beast actress Emma Watson will go head to head against Logan actor Hugh Jackman for the best actor word. Meanwhile, the 2017 awards show will also introduce a few new categories— Best Kiss, Best Fight Against the System and Best American Story categories, the Next Generation Award for a breakout new star, and the Tearjerker award.
