If the Mad Max movie chain is in search of a jazzed up two-wheeler for the next instalment, we suggest taking a look at the new 2017 Corsaro 1200 ZZ from Italian automaker Moto Morini. While many European bike makers just tweaked their engines of the 2017 models to comply with Euro-4 emission norms, Moto Morini says it has extended "the indomitable, furious and fearless soul of the Corsaro 1200 ZZ."

The motorcycle comes with a menacing look thanks to the exposed trellis frame in black colour. The frame packs a 1187 cc, v-twin that makes 137bhp power and 125 Nm of torque. Despite the 1187cc Bialbero Corsa Corta engine first debuting in 2005, Moto Morini has managed to make it complaint to the new emission norms. This has been archived mainly via tweaks to the engine to work with the new Zard exhaust system.
The new exhaust not only helps in emissions and noise, but also helps in improved fuel consumption according to Moto Morini.
Other major technical additions in the new Corsaro 1200 ZZ include a new quickshifter, slipper clutch and dual-channel ABS from Bosch, which can be turned off.
Moto Morini wants to keep the Italian character of Corsaro 1200 ZZ and hence, most of the parts of the bike are built in Italy itself. The engine itself is built in Trivolzio, south of Milan, while the fully adjustable front suspension comes from Mupo Race based out of Bologna.
The front fork comes with rebound damping and preload settings which allow for 135 mm of wheel travel. The Italianism has been further added Brembo monoblock radial-mounted calipers with double 320mm floating disc brakes and Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres.
Moto Morini bikes are made-to-order and it means there are various ways to customize each model. Interesting paint choices like brushed metal and wood grain finishes and carbon fibre bits available on request.
