The launch of the new and refreshed Jazz hatchback from Japanese carmaker Honda is believed to be around the corner and what comes our way is a new batch of spy shots of the new avatar of the hatchback, this time caught while posing for the cameras in Malaysia.
The images of the new Jazz shared by Paultan showcase the car uncamouflaged, providing rare glimpses of its exterior. So what is new? Going by the latest images, the new Jazz facelift still holds onto the design of the current model. However, it does get new bumper at the rear with changes in the tail lamp cluster. There seems to be generous amount of chrome appliqué.
The front view of the Jazz cannot be discerned although it too had made its way to the web earlier. At the front, the new Jazz is likely to get a redesigned bumper with new grille and headlights. As far as the interiors of the new Jazz concerned, the hatchback is likely to get an updated infotainment system and have additional safety features.
Under the hood, the Jazz is likely to carry over the same engine of the current model. There are reports that Honda might also consider performance version of the Jazz, which could pack a 1.5-litre petrol mill of the City. In India, the Jazz is currently powered by a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel motors. The same is likely to be continued in the new version too.
