Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL), a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, is all set to pull the wraps off the new avatar of the Access 125 in India Tuesday, March 15. The new Access 125, which was unveiled at the Auto Expo in February this year, is expected to be priced at around Rs 60,000.
The Access 125 has undergone thorough changes in its mid-life facelift avatar. Powered by the same 124 cc four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which can pump out a power of 8.58bhp at 7,000rpm and a peak torque of 9.8Nm at 5,000 rpm, the new Access 125 features 3D emblem logo and optional front disc brake. It comes in five colour options -- Grey, black, Red, White and Blue -- and measures 1,780mm in length, 650mm in width, and 1,125mm in height. The Access 125 gets a wheelbase of 1,250m.
The scooter's front and rear tyres measure 90/100-10 with telescopic front fork. From a visual stand point, the new Access 125 gets restyled front with redesigned headlamps and clear turn indicator. At the rear, the scooter gets LED tail lamps and comes fitted with 12-inch alloy wheels.
The Access 125 competes with the Honda Activa 125, Honda Aviator and Mahindra Rodeo RZ in the Indian two-wheeler market.
