Not only movies, songs and TV series, but video streaming platform YouTube also draws viewers who are actively looking for ads. This year YouTube received 407.7 million views from just 10 ad videos, making them the most watched ads of 2016.
The video-streaming platform released a list of most watched ads on YouTube, and the Mobile Strike video game ad starring Arnold Schwarzenegger has topped the list with 101.1 million views. The top 10 list includes the ads that ran during Super Bowl, the time of year when people excitedly watch commercials.
The most watched viral YouTube ad with 101.1 million views is the Official Mobile Strike Super Bowl 50 TV ad, which shows Schwarzenegger in a fight with several people in an elevator for his smartphone to play the Mobile Strike game. Interestingly, a lot of tech trends made the cut in the list of the final 10 most watched videos. Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 introduction video, #Pokemon20 Super Bowl Commercial and Clash Royale Theme Song ad were among those which made it to the list.
Knorr's LoveAtFirstTaste commercial became the second most watched video, with 60.4 million views. The video shows some single men and women going on a blind date with the person who loves the same foods and flavours. Nike's The Switch ft. commercial featuring Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Kane and Anthony Martial is the third most watched YouTube ad, with 56.4 million views.
