The new facelifted avatar of Grand i10 from the house of Hyundai is likely to come to the Indian market sooner than expected. According to emerging reports, Hyundai is planning to pull the cover off the Grand i10 facelift in the country in December.
The Grand i10 facelift is likely to see its launch in India towards the end of December, TeamBHP reported. The Grand i10 is already on Indian roads for testing and has been caught on camera quite a few times. Adding credentials to the rumours about the launch of the Grand i10 facelift is news that Hyundai has taken the i10, the popular hatchback that was part of the carmaker's India portfolio since 2007, off the assembly line. The capacity might now be used for the new arrivals, including the upcoming Grand i10 facelift.
The Grand i10 facelift is likely to get new front and rear end, while staying in its current silhouette. It is expected to get reworked front bumper with LED daytime running lights and front-grille. Inside the cabin too, the facelifted Grand i10 could get feature updates, including a new touchscreen infotainment system. The Euro-spec model of the Grand i10 gets new seven-inch touchscreen system featuring Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and navigation.
Under the hood, the new avatar of the Grand i10 is likely to remain untouched. Currently, Hyundai Grand i10 petrol variant is powered by a 1.2-litre Kappa engine that can churn out 82bhp and 116 Nm. The diesel model of the vehicle houses a 1.1-litre three cylinder U2 VGT motor engine that delivers 70bhp power and 163 Nm of torque. The 2016 Hyundai Grand i10 facelift is expected to get a price tag slightly higher than the current model.
