It appears like the new Brio facelift is inching closer to its launch in India. The company seems to have started dispatching the Brio facelift to its respective dealerships. Here comes what are probably the first-ever spy shots of the new Brio from India.
Snapped by IndianAutosBlog, the Brio facelift, which is believed to have been photographed at a dealership of the company, is seen donned in orange body shade. The latest set of images of the Brio is giving a closer look at the model virtually from every possible angle.
From the images, the Brio facelift is seen with newly designed front fascia with black grille and larger radiator intake. The side profile and the rear remain largely untouched in its new avatar. Coming to the cabin, the Brio facelift has received the same kind of treatment that BR-V and the new Amaze got. It now features a fresh layout finished in black. However, it seems to have missed out on the largest multi-information display (MID). Additional features in the new Brio will include a new audio system, steering wheel-mounted audio button and automatic climate control.
As for engine, the facelifted avatar of the Brio is expected to carry over the same i-VTEC 1.2-litre engine of the previous model, which produces maximum power of 89bhp at 6,000 rpm and maximum torque of 110Nm at 4,800rpm. The Brio is available with either five-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission.
Honda is also said to be readying next-gen Brio, which is expected to make its debut in 2018. Launched in 2011, the hatchback has continued without any change on the exterior for almost five years.
